Coal Prep 2010 was the 27th year for this key event where coal mining professionals from around the world convene to share the latest ideas and most effective techniques on coal preparation and aggregate processing plant technologies.
The XVI International Coal Preparation Congress (ICPC) co-located with Coal Prep 2010. ICPC provides a forum for coal preparation professionals to meet on a quadrennial basis in rotating venues around the globe. The ICPC was hosted by the Coal Preparation Society of America (CPSA) and the International Organizing Committee (IOC). This was the first time the U.S. hosted the ICPC since 1966.
ICPC attendance was 360 while Coal Prep 2010 hosted 2126 coal professionals. The expo featured over 245 exhibitors. Attendees were from the U.S. as well as Australia, Canada, Chile, Columbia, Germany, India, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
Elgin National Industries was well represented in both Coal Prep 2010 and ICPC. As a platinum sponsor of the ICPC event, the Elgin Equipment Group and Roberts & Schaefer were highlighted in the ICPC conference program, on the ICPC website and were featured on a continuous looped power point presentation in the ICPC registration area.
Once again, Elgin National Industries was a major exhibitor at Coal Prep 2010 with a 1500 sq. ft booth, one of the largest of the show. All six Elgin Equipment Group companies-Centrifugal & Mechanical Industries (CMI); Centrifugal Services (CSI); Clinch River (Clinch); Mining Controls (MCI); Norris Screen (Norris); and Tabor Machine (Tabor) - as well as Roberts & Schaefer exhibited.
Each Elgin company had their own display area with product photos and brochures including a large screen LCD HDTV to showcase additional products/schematics that were given to customers who visited and registered with each company at the ENI booth.
Coal Prep 2011 will be held May 3-5, 2011 at the Lexington Center, Lexington, KY. Look for Elgin National Industries again next year. We will be well represented at this important industry exhibit with one of the largest booths complete with our 28’ rotating sign visible from every corner of the show floor.
